The Hemphill Dinner will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. This year's dinner commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Texas Constitution – which coincides with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence – and will feature a keynote program focusing on the enduring role of state constitutions and the high courts that interpret them. Following a special toast to the Constitution delivered by Justice Evan Young of the Supreme Court of Texas, Lynne Liberato (a TSCHS Past President and 2022 Pop Award recipient) will moderate a conversation with former Justice Eva Guzman of the Supreme Court of Texas, Justice Rhonda Wood of the Arkansas Supreme Court, and former Chief Justice Beth Walker of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, drawing on their public service and shared perspectives from the Lady Justice podcast produced in partnership with the National Center for State Courts.
